Advice on national planning for psychosocial support services
This project aimed to support national evaluation and planning for psychosocial support services by:
- Delivering training to Department of Health staff and consultants on using the National Mental Health Service Planning Framework (NMHSPF).
- Providing ad hoc expert advice and support on the use of the NMHSPF tool and feedback on interpretation or reporting issues arising.
Analysing the NMHSPF to estimate the unique numbers of consumers and carers requiring psychosocial support services nationally by age group and severity level, within and outside the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
This work also contributed to the national Analysis of unmet need for psychosocial supports outside of the National Disability Insurance Scheme project. The final report from that project is available here.
